Awww.... the poor dragon. But still an awesome concept and wonderfully executed. :)
You really did a fantastic job at capturing the idea in a beautiful mixture of drama and humor.

I definitely gave it a 5 on the vote, though unfortunately, it's current rank is still below 3 (which is surprising, given all of the positive comments people have left).
Hopefully that will still increase over the remaining 3 days.

As someone who has 80+ t-shirts, the only design critique I can offer is:
1) The print is too close to the bottom. I know that I, as well as many others, tuck their t-shirts in, and doing this will completely cover a portion of the image.
2) I love the wrap-around design, but feel it wraps a bit too much. T-shirt designs are meant to be viewed, and I don't know many people who will walk around someone wearing a t-shirt, in order to view the whole design. Especially if they're simply passing them by in a mall or on the street.
3) The minimal use of color gives a lot of dramatic impact and allows what color there is to stand out, but it makes it difficult to judge the visual contrast as it will appear on an actual t-shirt. It runs the risk of not being able to make out the picture from more than 10 feet away. I'm not saying this is the case, but rather that it's really difficult to tell how it will actually look on a real t-shirt, given the use of greys, rather than bold blacks.

thank you so much for the critique! I really appreciate it, yeah i get the feeling that it's not going to print, so i'l have to fix some things.

Yes, I'll probably make the wrap around design smaller on the tshirt and higher up a little, but I guess it'll lose its effect a little, we'll see.

People said to use more colors, but haha i don't really have the skills to make it look cooler , lol

I think if i used black it might look a bit odd to me, that's why i used a more subtler gray. but that's true, it would stand out a lot more in black. I'll try that and post up a version for critique.

Thanks so much again!!

*smiles* You're quite welcome. :)
Artistically speaking, I love what you have here, both in concept and execution (otherwise, I wouldn't have Fav'd it ;)).

But what looks wonderful on paper or a computer screen, doesn't necessarily translate properly to a t-shirt. As artwork, I prefer the more subtle, gray line and subdued colors. It's when trying to imagine this printed and worn on an actual t-shirt, that I see reasons it may not be getting the rating it deserves.

It would just be nice if more people commented on what they didn't like about it as a t-shirt, rather than only what they did. For some, it could simply be the implied violence or a sympathy toward the dragon that caused them to reject it and nothing to do with the actual quality of the art at all.

that's true, they might've rejected it simply because of the violence towards the dragon...I should've said something like I love dragons myself, lol.

Is dragon roll and actual kind of sushi then? (I've tried sushi a couple times... just not my thing haha)
